ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. Allgau Region Travel Guide

The countryside of the Allgäu region in south-west Bavaria is dominated by the majestic Bavarian Alps and numerous lakes. The ten highest peaks of the Allgäu Alps, all around 2,600 metres high, are situated around Oberstdorf. The area is dotted with romantic little towns, many of them dating back to the Middle Ages, and idyllic villages with typically decorated houses. The Allgäu is famous for its picture perfect views and no trip to the region would be complete without a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, one of the most famous castles in the world, and the inspiration for the Disney Sleeping Beauty castle. The region is a paradise for those who enjoy the great outdoors. A vast network of well-marked paths and hiking trails as well as many mountain railways and chairlifts will take you up to the most scenic points.

The 700-year old town of Füssen boasts an intimate charm with its quaint cobbled streets and pretty medieval centre framed by the majestic peaks of the Alps. Far away from the hum of noisy traffic, you can stroll around soaking up the serene atmosphere in the pedestrian zone, indulge in many culinary delights and relax in one of Füssen's many beer gardens. The fairytale castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein take you back in time to the royal era of King Ludwig II.

Füssen Highlights

Of course, Füssen's sightseeing highlight is the legendary Neuschwanstein Castle, inspiration for the legendary Disney Castle. Entrance tickets can only be bought at the ticket centre below the castle. You must therefore buy your ticket before you start the approximately 30 minute walk up to the castle. Adult Admission: €9.00.

Take the cable car to the top of Tegelberg Mountain near Füssen and enjoy breathtaking views over the region. You will find a Panorama Restaurant and many walking trails on the summit.

Oberstdorf Highlights

Take advantage of the many sporting opportunities such as 9 golf courses, several tennis courts and over 200km of walking paths.

From the summit of Nebelhorn Mountain (2,224m) you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over 400 Alpine peaks.
