ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. Oberstaufen in the Allgäu region of Germany has been a well known health resort for over 100 years. Wellness was a standard in many of the local hotels long before this was a recognised lifestyle concept. Moreover, the region boasts a vast network of 300km of hiking trails at varying levels of difficulty. Sport enthusiasts will definitely enjoy themselves in Oberstaufen with access to many cycling trails, golf courses and tennis courts.

The infrastructure, characterized by tourism, has increasingly developed and become established in terms of gastronomy and guest accommodation. Also retailers in textiles, clothes, jewellery and gifts have established their business.
There are not many industrial companies to be found in Oberstaufen. Self-caterers will find plenty of foods stores including butchers and bakeries.

Hotel-Restaurant Adler


The Landgasthof Zum Goldenen Schwanen is the ideal retreat after touring the royal castles or walking in the beautiful Allgäu. The restaurant is furnished in the style of a typical Allgäu country house. It has won several prizes for its Bavarian cuisine. The restaurant offers specialities from the Allgäu and plain good quality fare. You can sample the wine selection or a tapped beer. There is a reasonably priced lunchtime menu. The restaurant has a beer garden which has won several awards. It also has a children's playground. The ballroom with stage can be used for parties and can take 130 guests. Business functions can be held in three conference rooms. These are equipped with event technology and can accommodate between 20 and 140 people.
