ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. Danubius Grand Hotel Margitsziget

The hotel is a representative of the Danubius Classic Collection, a trademark that stands for unique ambience, high quality and outstanding service. The hotel, built in 1873, reflects the turn-of-century atmosphere of one hundred years ago but provides for the comfort of modern life. The hotel is connected to the neighbouring Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget, by a heated underground corridor, thus enabling guests to benefit from the services of both hotels. The 4-star spa and wellness hotel boasts one of Europe's top health spas, offering a wide range of therapeutic services, based on the water of the island's natural thermal springs and wellness and beauty treatments, as well as fitness facilities. All these are equally available to the guests of the Grand Hotel Margitsziget. Bicycles, cycle-buggies and electric-buggies can be hired to help guests get around the island. The Szechenyi restaurant, with its garden terrace leading out into the park, offers dishes from Hungarian, international and dietetic cuisines. Platan restaurant in the neighbouring Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget is also available to the guests. This 4-star hotel is located in the calm and picturesque surroundings of Margaret Island (Margitsziget) - the island of park gardens - lying in the middle of the River Danube, and only a matter of minutes from the city centre. The island, which stretches for 4 Km, is a state-protected leafy botanical parkland with ancient trees, a Japanese Garden, a Rose Garden, an open-air theatre and walking and jogging tracks. The island is car-free, but hotel guests can enter the island by car to access the hotel.

Room description

All 164 comfortable hotel rooms have bath, individually controlled air-conditioning, TV with satellite channels, Pay-TV, Internet access, direct-dial telephone, safe, minibar and coffee and tea making facilities. Some of the rooms have a balcony overlooking either the Danube or the beautiful park. The electric current is 220 V. Rooms for smokers and connecting rooms, as well as rooms for physically challenged guests are available.
