ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. ABTA was created in 1950 by 22 leading travel companies. It now represents over 5,000 travel agencies and more than 900 tour operators, right across the British Isles. ABTA helps to maintain the highest standards of trading practice for the travel industry and its customers. Warsaw - Poland's fascinating capital! The reconstruction is so good that listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Warsaw's unquenchable energy not only extends to construction.

Its exquisite cultural events calendar offers a huge variety of productions all year round. The city buzzes with activity every night of the week and is famous for their sparkling nightlife, full of people who are ready to have fun, feel the music and dance.

Warsaw is a paradise for travellers looking for smart clothes at reasonable prices. The city still has retained its old world charm, and there are many smaller stores on the back streets with treasures waiting to be discovered.

Delikatesy A. Blikle - ul. Nowy Swiat 35

Here you can buy delicious specialities. The confectionery is in the same building as the famous Blikle Cafe. You can find the finest food from home and abroad. You can't go wrong with Blinkle if you want to take home a taste of Poland.

Galeria Centrum - ul. Marszalkowska 104/122

This centre is a favourite with female shoppers. But it's also a good place for male fashion at a reasonable price.

Promenada - ul. Ostrobramska 75

This was one of Warsaw's first large shopping centres, first opened in 1996. 220 stores and stylish boutiques are built over 121,000 sqm of space and have proved a hit with locals and tourists alike. If you fancy going to the cinema or play or enjoy a game of bowling then this is the place to be.

Adler - ul. Mokotowska 69

German food in Poland? Yes! The Adler offers you great German cuisine and refreshing German Beer.

Amber Room - Al. Ujazdowskie 13

Here you can taste delicious Polish food made by excellent chefs. They offer a tasty three course business lunch for a reasonable price. For an evening meal the food is presented at highest standards and presentation.

Chlopskie Jadlo - ul. Wierzbowa 9/11

Chlopskie Jadlo is a chain of traditional Polish restaurants. Typically the portions are huge and tourists will love it!

Hard Rock Cafe - ul. Zlota 59

Do you fancy some American food like steaks, fajitas or special salads? Come and visit the world famous Hard Rock Cafe right next to Warsaw's shiny new Zlote Tarasy shopping centre.

Old Town

Along with the rest of the city the Old Town was badly damaged in WWII but Warsaw has reconstructed it beautifully. Visit the Old Town Square which it's stunning buildings.

The Royal Castle

In the Old Town you can find the Royal Castle, which stands over Plac Zamkowy, and was rebuilt in 1971.

The Royal Way

The Royal Way is Warsaw's grand avenue. The Krakowskie Przedmiescie is the most elegant street in Poland's capital.

The Warsaw Ghetto

In addition, the former Jewish ghetto is a stark reminder of the unforgiving history of Warsaw.
