Head to Munich to experience the world's largest and most famous
beer festival, known as 'Oktoberfest', with prices from just £449
per person for a two night tailor-made package from specialist
operator, Dertour, including flights.
This ever popular festival will again be drawing millions who
visit to enjoy the atmosphere, entertainment, and of course the
beer. Bigger and more spectacular than ever before, the festivities
will be a major celebration of Oktoberfest's rich history.
This year's Oktoberfest will open on 17th September, when a
historic reconstruction of early festivals will take place. There
are also going to be horse races every day, in remembrance of the
origins of Oktoberfest.
The draft beer on tap is brewed by Munich's six breweries:
Augustiner, Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbraeu Muenchen, Loewenbraeu,
Paulaner and Spaten-Franziskaner. The Oktoberfest brews are pale
ales and are about 6% alcohol. They are brewed slightly sweet to be
palatable to all.
This year, Oktoberfest runs from 17 September - 3 October, and
specialist tour operator, Dertour, has a number of great value
flight and accommodation packages to the event, with prices
starting from £449 per person.
The price includes two nights bed and breakfast accommodation in
the three star hotel Amba and return flights from Heathrow, plus
access to English speaking Dertour representative based in Munich.
The hotel is family-run and located in the centre of the city and
within walking distance of its main sights. Price based on two
adults sharing.
Dertour is also able to pre-book seats in the beer tents for
groups of ten people or more. For £40, you get two 'steins' of beer
and a voucher for a Bavarian meal as well as guaranteed entry into
the tent.
