Why you're safe with the holiday experts

DERTOUR is part of the DERTOUR GmbH group of Frankfurt - one of the world's leading tour operators . We also hold our own ATOL and are members of ABTA.

We've been creating perfect tailor-made holidays to the heart of Europe for 50 years. A lot has changed in that time, but one thing that has always remained the same is our total focus on serving you in the very best way that we can. This includes ensuring your satisfaction and security. It's why DERTOUR is fully licenced with our own ATOL and is also adheres to all the rules and principles of ABTA.

ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. For further information, visit the ATOL website at www.atol.org.uk

ABTA was created in 1950 by 22 leading travel companies. It now represents over 5,000 travel agencies and more than 900 tour operators, right across the British Isles. ABTA helps to maintain the highest standards of trading practice for the travel industry and its customers. The ABTA logo is a sign that you can expect choice, value and high levels of service from DERTOUR.

DERTOUR is also fully committed to always try to provide an alternative holiday or route in times of disruption that is out of our control, such as in the event of volcanic ash, disruption to air travel due to heavy snowfall or an airline strike grounding aircraft.

If you have any questions about our ABTA membership or the financial protection provided under our ATOL, please don't hesitate to call us on 020 7290 1104.

Travel Insurance - IMPORTANT NOTICE

Before you purchase this insurance, DERTOUR is required to
bring to your attention a number of important aspects:
Policy document: You should read the document carefully. It gives
you full details of what is and what is not covered and the condition
of the cover. Cover will vary from policy to policy and insurer to
insurer.

Conditions, exclusion & warranties: Conditions and exclusions
will apply to individual sections of your policy, while general
exclusions, conditions and warranties will apply to the whole
of your policy.

Medical expenses: Your policy does not provide private health
treatment unless specifically approved by the emergency assistance
service. You should carry an EHIC (European Heath Insurance Card)
or equivalent and use this at state facilities when travelling within
the European Union.

Health: Most travel insurance policies have health restrictions
in them that may exclude any pre-existing conditions. If you are
purchasing our travel insurance we want to ensure you are provided
with the best cover we can offer. Please answer either 'YES' or
'NO' to the following questions:

1. Have you or anyone who is travelling with you, ever had treatment for:

  • any heart or circulatory condition,
  • a stroke or high blood pressure.
  • a breathing condition (such as asthma).
  • any type of cancer.
  • any type of  diabetes.

2. In the last 2 years - have you or anyone who is travelling with you:

  • been treated for any serious or re-occurring medical condition
  • asked to take regular prescribed medication
  • referred to a specialist or consultant at a hospital for tests, diagnosis or treatment

3. You must also tell the insurer if:

  • you are awaiting for tests or treatment of any description.
  • your doctor alters your regular prescribed medication.

If you have answered 'YES' to any of the above questions our
insurers will be able to offer some cover and may be able to cover
your health condition, although an increased excess and / or an
increased premium may be required. After buying our travel
insurance you will be given a policy document showing
the telephone number of our medical helpline. You will need
to contact them as soon as possible, providing details from your
booking confirmation, to see if the additional cover is available.
The medical helpline can only arrange a health check once cover
has been purchased. All calls will be treated in the strictest
confidence and the decision will be confirmed to you in writing.
Should they require any additional premium and you accept their
offer, this should be paid to the medical helpline either by credit
card or cheque within 14 days of your call.

Please note:
• Our insurers are unable to provide any cover on psychological
conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders
or mental instability.

• Our insurers are unable to provide cover for anything which
is a result of a pre-existing medical condition of a close
relative or a close business associate.

'Cooling Off' Period: Your policy will have a 'cooling off' period
during which you can cancel the policy and get a refund, if you have
a justifiable reason for being dissatisfied with the cover it provides.

If you would like more information, please contact Infinity
Insurance Solutions: tel 0845 230 7130, particularly if you feel the
insurance may not meet your needs.

These details are not a substitute for your insurance
policy. Please make sure you read your policy document
carefully. Failure to comply with the terms & conditions
therein may result in cover being restricted.

PLEASE NOTE: DERTOUR only offers travel insurance from a single
insurer - URV. You will not receive advice or a recommendation from
us for travel insurance and you will need to make your own choice
about how to proceed.
